The Parliament will celebrate Europe Day by welcoming citizens to its Brussels premises for visits, debates with MEPs, interactive presentations and live performances.

Parliament’s doors will be open from 10.00, with the last entrance at 17.30, with all public areas and meeting rooms accessible to citizens. Discover the full programme of the day.

Inauguration ceremony

A Europe Day inauguration ceremony will take place in the EP Hemicycle. It will open at 10.30 with a performance by Ukrainian singers, followed by an address from Vice-President Pina Picierno (S&D, Italy) and a panel discussion with MEPs. The panel will discuss the 2024 European elections, Parliament’s political priorities for the next legislature and take questions from citizens.

Info Hub

Information sessions on Parliament’s flagship programmes – the “Youth Hub” and together.eu – will take place at the EP Info Hub at 12.30, 14.30 and 16.30.

Art tour

Citizens can discover the Parliament’s art collection by taking guided art tours at 12.30, 13.00, 14.30, 15.30, setting off from the welcome stand.

After the ceremony, from 12.30, citizens can also take guided tours of the Hemicycle.

Live from the European Parliament

Visitors will have the opportunity to watch a live broadcast by Radio Vivacité (RTBF radio) from the Parliament’s VoxBox from 10.30 to 15.00, with presenters Philippe Jauniaux and Hugues Hamelynck.

In addition, the European Parliament’s in-house radio will broadcast live from Parliament’s premises throughout the day, with discussions with MEPs and citizens.

Information for media

All public areas and meeting rooms will be accessible to the press throughout the day. The press room facilities will be open from 9.00 until 18.00. Audiovisual recording is permitted on site except for the security area.
